Hi Everyone, 
Just wanted to give you a short guide on using Renaissance Place and giving STAR reading tests. 

This year there have been changes in the layout of Renaissance Place. It looks different but it seems to be more intuitive and faster. Take a little time to look around and find what you are used to seeing. 

Reports are still under each product's icon. All classes have been assigned AR and STAR reading, and I add STAR reading Spanish by request (put in a ticket if you need this.) 

To get into Renaissance Place

First make sure to use the link from your school webpages, or students can use the shortcut in clever. Other links googled from the web will not work. 

Teachers 

username: (see the email or GClassroom)
password: (see the email or GClassroom)

If the pattern  doesn't work please put in a ticket so I can reset it. The forgot password link will only work if you had added your email to your profile last year. if you haven't, please put in a ticket so i can reset your password and add your email to your account. 

Students

username: (see the email or GClassroom) 
password: (see the email or GClassroom)
You can request a password list for your class from your school's Library Clerk.

Monitor password

I have made all the monitor passwords for STAR reading (see the email or GClassroom) and this year you will have to give it to students to use if they have a problem with the test and need to restart it. 

If you are having issues with Renaissance Place that can't be resolved by the suggestions in this email, or with your Library Clerk's help, then put in a ticket. I will get to them as soon as I can.

How many times have you thought of the things you are not?  I do it more often than I wish I did. So, as I keep wresting with the most efficient way to get answers and share resources, a blog seems to be the thing that makes the most sense.  Sending tech newsletters is good, but it is hard to refer back to.  Answering emails is great, but that means helping one person at a time. Howdy!  It seemed like such a cool idea to have a quick comparison of Google Meet and Zoom, and then I realized it is a lot to get my head around! Seesaw Automation and Archiving Classes August 2020

If you are a teacher who used Seesaw in the spring of 2020, how much did you learn to love Seesaw?  If you hadn't used it before, you surely saw it's value in distance learning times!  A few details to share, and this seemed like the easiest way.  I hope this helps.
